How it works

  1. 1

    Connect your controller

Plug it in over USB or pair it over Bluetooth. PlayStation, Xbox or a generic pad — if your computer sees it, PadMap does.

  2. 2

    Map it

Assign every button, trigger and stick to MIDI notes or CC — and the gyro on PS4 and PS5 pads. Stack layers when you run out of buttons.

  3. 3

    Play it in your DAW

Pick the PadMap MIDI port in Ableton, FL Studio, Logic or any DAW. On Windows, the free loopMIDI provides the port.

Connect your gamepad

PadMap works with standard game controllers. Connect via USB or Bluetooth, and start mapping buttons, triggers and joysticks in seconds.

Send MIDI with your controller

Tap a button or move a joystick and send MIDI CC and MIDI notes. You can edit what it sends and apply additional layers.

Additional Layers

Add some depth to your mapping by playing multiple layers at the same time. Make a control a modifier and let it toggle between different mapping layers.

Haptic Controls & RGB

The small stuff that makes a controller feel like yours. Add color mapping and rumble on supported controllers.

Controller pads colour-coded to the mapping

Your controls, color-coded.

PadMap color-matches your pad LEDs to their assigned controls, so you always know what each one does.

The rumble intensity control: off, soft, double or triple pulse

Stay in the flow.

Subtle haptic feedback confirms every press, so you can keep playing without looking down.

Before you buy

Will my PS5, Xbox or other controller work?

PadMap reads PlayStation, Xbox and generic USB or Bluetooth gamepads — if your computer already recognises the pad as a controller, PadMap sees it too, and the PS5 DualSense has its own mode. On PS4 and PS5 pads you can map the gyro as well, and the light bar and rumble work over Bluetooth. RGB and rumble are the exception elsewhere: those only work on controllers that expose them.

Unsure about yours? Mail hello@sinuslabs.io before you buy and we'll tell you straight.

Which DAWs does it work with?
All of them. PadMap is a standalone app that creates a virtual MIDI device — Ableton, FL Studio, Logic, Bitwig, Reaper, Traktor, or anything else that accepts MIDI input just sees a controller. There's a step-by-step guide for each of the big ones.
Do I need anything else on Windows?
One free helper: loopMIDI, which creates the MIDI port PadMap sends through. It takes a minute — here's how. On macOS there's nothing extra to install.
What do I need to run it?
Windows 10/11 (64-bit) or macOS 10.14+. A one-off internet connection to activate, then it runs offline. Your licence covers your own machines and every future update.
Where is my license key?
It's emailed the moment you pay, and it lives in your account portal — sign in with the address you purchased with, no password required.
