FAQ
Where do I find my license key?
Plugins activate with a license key, not a password. Sign in with your purchase email to see every key and download tied to your address.
Prefer it by mail? Find your license key — we'll email it to the address you purchased with.
How do I install a plugin on Windows?
Run the downloaded
.exe installer. It places the VST3 into the standard folder at C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3. If it doesn't appear straight away, rescan your plugins in your DAW.How do I install a plugin on macOS?
Open the
.pkg and follow the installer — it puts the AU into /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components and the VST3 into /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3, then restart your DAW so it rescans. If macOS blocks the installer as coming from an "unidentified developer", right-click it and choose Open, or allow it under System Settings → Privacy & Security. How do I install a plugin on Linux?
Download the
.zip, extract it, and copy the .vst3 into ~/.vst3 (or your host's VST3 folder), then rescan in your DAW. Linux builds are tested on Ubuntu 16.04 and newer. The plugin doesn't show up in my DAW
Make sure your DAW scans the standard VST3 folder (and the AU Components folder on macOS) and that the VST3 or AU format is enabled, then trigger a rescan or restart. Free plugins load right away; paid plugins run in demo mode — with a short audio dip every so often — until you enter your license key.
Which formats and DAWs are supported?
Every Sinuslabs plugin ships as 64-bit VST3, plus AU on macOS — there's no AAX, so Pro Tools isn't supported. That still covers virtually every host: FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Reaper, Cubase, Studio One, Bitwig and GarageBand all work.
Can I try a plugin before I buy it?
Yes — the demo is the full plugin, nothing removed. Unlicensed, it dips the audio every so often; your license key stops that. There's no iLok and no dongle: one internet connection to activate, then it runs offline.
How many machines can I use one license on?
Your license is tied to you, not a machine — install it on every computer you work on. Updates are included for life.
Do the free plugins need a license?
No — Bandbreite and Front Row download and run without any key.
Are the plugins open source?
Yes — every Sinuslabs plugin is open source. You can read the code on GitHub.
How do I get a refund?
Email hello@sinuslabs.io within 30 days of your purchase and you get your money back — no form, no reason needed.
